It came in a good compact zippered vinyl bag. It was extremely lightweight. The Brown and Pink are amazing! And the uncomplicated style leaves room to add whatever else you desire to your theme. We are adding brightly colored monkeys. The Mobile plays "Hushabye and Goodnight". There are actually no directions for assembling the mobile, since it can be Super simple. Even so the Mobile ARM will not turn. It hangs strait out. So you can't hook the mobile to the head of the crib off to 1 side, and have the decorations hang toward the middle, ideal where the baby would lie. But' that is not a large deal.
